Amusing Ourselves to Death by Stuart McMillen (May 2009)
Aldous Huxley (Author: Brave New World) vs. George Orwell (Author: Nineteen Eighty-Four)
Ahhhh but what about Ray Bradbury? He sums all this up in Fahrenheit 451! All these ideas! Good commentary but let’s not forget Bradbury!

Saw this today.
I didn’t like it.
Well, okay. It wasn’t bad, but (and I don’t think this is me being a perfectionist or purist or anything because I let a lot go) it pales in comparison to the book.
If you’ve seen this movie and you like it, do yourself a favor: read the book.
Books say: She did this because. Life says: She did this. Books are where things are explained to you; life is where things aren’t. I’m not surprised some people prefer books.”

Just enjoying a mid-day beer and some Sherlock Holmes before I go to work. It’s pretty relaxing. I’m gonna have to do this more often.

I want this book like cheese wants macaroni. It is officially on my birthday/Christmas list. I will instantly fall in love with anyone who gets it for me, unless the giver doesn’t want me to love them, in which case I will forever maintain a healthy respect for him/her at a slight distance so I don’t accidentally smother them with gratitude.
