To be fair, Diane Nelson is president of DC Entertainment, which is super big. DC Comics is its publishing division. Maybe I should be getting mad at these guys:

Co- Publisher: Dan DiDio
Co-Publisher: Jim Lee
Editor-In-Chief: Bob Harras
Chief Creative Officer: Geoff Johns
Executive Vice President, Sales, Marketing, and Business Development: John Rood

I didn’t get that mad about Harley Quinn’s new costume until I looked up DC’s address and saw this:

  • President: Diane Nelson
  • EVP Finance and Administration: Patrick Caldon
  • SVP Publicity: Courtney Simmons

Come on, ladies in positions of power! How could you let this costume happen? What part of you did not die when you saw that?? If you blame it on the men you work with, shame on you. Saying that essentially means, “I’m a woman in a position of power, but it’s just a title, really. The men still run the show.”

Especially Diane Nelson. I don’t know the politics of the DC Comics empire, but I assume that the title of  “president” gives one the right to veto any and all costume designs. Harley Quinn is a much better and more interesting character than she now appears. Thanks to her new costume, people are just going to wait for it to fall off instead of giving her credence.

I mean what the fuck. You girls should know better.
